Client: Boise Rescue Mission Ministries
Project: Redesign of existing site
Web Address: www.boiserm.org

Boise Rescue Mission Ministries Project scope:

Since 1958 the Boise Rescue Mission has been serving the community by meeting the spiritual, physical and psychological needs of the homeless and near-homeless who live in our community and those who pass through on a daily basis.

The Boise Rescue Mission provides food, clothing and shelter for homeless and needy men, women and children 365 days a year.

Over the years, they have implemented educational and counseling programs to provide opportunities for healing, growth, and employment for the homeless population.

We were first approached by the Boise Rescue Mission about the potential of redesigning their web site because their current site was ineffectual in meeting their goals for helping the community and we immediately volunteered to produce and host the site at no charge to them. It's not often we get an opportunity to be involved in a project such as this that has such a major impact on the community, and we wholeheartedly jumped at the opportunity.

This was a wonderful project to be involved in and we are very grateful for the opportunity that the Mission provided us and the trust they placed in us to produce a new site for them that matched the caliber of the work they do in the community.

Design components: We redesigned the site from top to bottom with a new expanded and easier to use menu system with their logo, imagery and content provided by the Mission. We converted several of the pages on the site to database and built graphical tools so they could continue to maintain and update the site as needed without our assistance.

Boise Rescue Mission Ministries old siteWe also worked with one of the merchant companies we work with to waive all of their normal setup and ongoing fees to set up a new merchant account at a much lower rate than they were currently getting through Ground Spring. To utilize their new account we created a new online ledger system to accept one time and reoccurring donations and a tool for users to maintain their reoccurring donations.

We also set up our in-house shopping cart so they could sell tickets to their fund raising events.

Graphic editors: Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

Programming languages: VB Script, Active Server Pages, JavaScript, DHTML and HTML.

Web Hosting: Powered by Eagles Consulting.

Eagles Consulting redesigned Boise Rescue Mission Ministries' website for free, building a look and style from the Mission's logo and the goals we had in mind for the site and incorporating images of the Missions' services.

They did an excellent job of taking the Mission staff's ideas for the content and making them come to life in a coherent whole. Eagles Consulting dedicated as much time as it took to get the website not only functional, but the best it could be, and brought the company's resources to bear to provide the Mission with the tools it needed to move forward with online communication and fundraising.

Eagles Consulting not only donated the time to redesign the website, but also provides hosting for free, and continues to provide maintenance and development of the site into the future.

I would recommend Eagles Consulting to anyone looking to create or improve their website - they know what they're doing, are dedicated to quality, and are community-minded. They are a company interested in more than profits - they're interested in helping to improve the lives of people in need. Without their help, Boise Rescue Mission Ministries' website would not be what it is today, and we sincerely appreciate their generosity.
